Cowboys stop Patriots, punch ticket to Florida
After a great run the Amherst Patriot Pee Wee’s season came to an end in Worcester today at Foley Stadium. The Pee Wee’s fell to the Mount Hope Cowboys in the New England Regional Finals by a score of 25-6. The Patriots gave a great effort, played hard until the very end, but were not able to keep the speedy Cowboys out of the end zone. For the second year in a row the team from Providence, Rhode Island will advance to Florida to compete for the national Pop Warner title.









The Amherst Pee Wee’s (1) battled the Bedford Bulldogs (4) at Bedford High School today for the right to advance to the State Championship Game Wednesday night in Merrimack. Despite not playing a game in two weeks, the Pee Wee’s looked crisp and took care of business with a 27-0 win.

The Patriots played games in Hooksett and Youngsville on Sunday. The feature game of the day was the Patriots undefeated Mitey Mite Blue team facing off against a very tough opponent from Youngsville (4-1). The two teams slugged it out under an unseasonably hot October sun and the Patriots prevailed in the end.
