7th and 8th Graders
The Souhegan Valley Sabers are a junior high school football team and cheer squad. The Sabers are an unlimited weight program competing in the Northeast Junior High Football League.
In 2001 the Sabers were founded as an independent organization to better meet the needs of players who aged or weighed out of The Amherst Patriots program. The football and cheer teams are a feeder program to the local high schools.
In 2010 the Amherst Patriots and Souhegan Valley Sabers
voted to merge the two organizations in to one.
This program gives football players and cheerleaders a truer high school experience.
