7, 8 and 9 Year Olds.
The Mitey Mite Division consists of 7-9 year old players with a weight range of 45-90 lbs (ages 7 and 8 ) and 45-70 lbs (9 year olds). The Mitey Mite division is very similar to the Tiny Mitey Mite division with the only difference being an older/lighter bracket (9 year old players). This is usually a division of 1st and 2nd year players, with a bit more tackle football experience then Tiny Mite players. Emphasis is placed on teamwork, discipline, and sportsmanship along with basic blocking and tackling skills. The Mitey Mite Division is an instructional division with some unique rules that only apply to Mitey Mite.
For example:
- They play on an 80 yard field.
- One Coach from each team stays on the field
- 8-games regular season (including Mitey Mite Bowl)
